Founder's presentation proves victorious during "Walk the plank" pitch 1,200 start-ups from 40 countries applied to present their products in front of a top-class jury during the Pirate Summit Global Tour.
At the final round in Cologne on 8 September 2016, LeanIX managed to sail to victory with their pitch "Helping companies to build great IT architectures". During the Pirate Summit, that took place in the art and performance space "Odonien", founders and investors moved around between construction trailers and rusty scrap metal sculptures. Some participants had taken the theme of the event that much to heart that they were wearing pirate costumes.
The start-ups pitched their business ideas in this creative atmosphere while walking a wooden plank above the "sharks" in the audience. LeanIX Founder and Co-CEO André Christ convinced the jury in his three-minute presentation that LeanIX can support companies with a successful digital transformation. The "loot" LeanIX took away for their first prize consists of a three-day trip to London and Berlin, where they will meet with more international investors.
